Coastal Kids Consignment Sales is a semi-annual consignment event providing a great opportunity for local families to clean out closets and attics and cash in on their high quality, gently used items. Inside the sale you’ll find a huge selection of Fall/Winter/Holiday children’s & ladies clothes, shoes and accessories, costumes, toys, baby gear, bikes, high chairs, strollers, pack and plays, bedding, home decor & furniture, books, sporting gear & clothing, dance, karate, cheer, games, puzzles, maternity clothes, home school materials and gear and MUCH more!

Consignors are in control of pricing and the decision to discount or donate their items; tag the item with an easy to use online computerized inventory system and it will be sold for you! You do not have to be present to sell. Volunteer during the event and increase your profit percentage up to 65%. Coastal Kids Consignment Sales will mail you a check and donation receipt for any donated items within two weeks of sale close. Unsold items marked “donate yes” will be donated to local charities and shelters on behalf of consignors.

Runners Take Your Mark-Wicomico Tourism Sets Date for Half Marathon
Hidden Treasures Half Marathon & 5K Slated for September 12, 2010
Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism is pleased to introduce a new event to the Eastern Shore. The inaugural Hidden Treasures Half Marathon & 5Kpresented by Gateway Subaru will take place in Salisbury, Maryland on Sunday, September 12, 2010. The marathon, open to runners locally and from the surrounding region of all skill levels, will start and end at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.
The day’s events will begin with Opening Ceremonies at 7:45am. Those participating in the race should plan to visit the Civic Center on Saturday, September 11 for packet pick-up. While there, runners and their families can peruse the many health and fitness related vendors taking part in the Hidden Treasures Half Marathon & 5K Expo Day from 11am to 6pm.
Early registration is open from now until August 1, 2010, and those interested can sign-up for the Half Marathon ($40) or the 5K ($25). After August 1, registration fees will increase to $55 and $35 respectively. Runners will receive an Under Armour Tech Shirt as well as food at the conclusion of the race. Over the last decade, Wicomico County Tourism has successfully developed two other signature events for the region. The Pork in the Park Barbeque Festival, held annually on the third weekend of April, is now the second largest Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned competition in the nation. The Autumn Wine Festival, entering its seventh year this October 16 and 17, continues to grow and now features over 20 Maryland Wineries.
“The success and continued growth of our current signature events, when coupled with the experience we’ve gained in the sports marketing arena, has prepared us to enter into the field of marathons,” explains Wicomico Tourism Manager Sandy Fulton. The 6th Annual Delmarva Home and Remodeling Expo is Set for October 2-3, 2010
The 6th Annual Delmarva Home and Remodeling Expo will debut Saturday, October 2 10am until 6pm and Sunday, October 3 from 11am until 5pm at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury, MD. The event will showcase over 80 local, regional and national companies specializing in products and services for the inside of the home, the outside of the home and the people in the home, all in one convenient location.
Show exhibitors will offer great specials and bargains with special show savings that cannot be matched at other times of the year. This year’s event will feature more workshops and celebrity appearances than in past years. America’s wackiest home improvement team, The Duct Tape Guys will appear on Saturday, October 2 at 12 noon and 3PM, and Sunday, October 3 at 12 noon and 2PM. The first 500 patrons to arrive for their presentation will receive a free roll of Duct Tape.
Antique appraiser and national television host Dr. Lori will conduct her antique appraisal seminar, “What’s It Worth” on Saturday, October 2 at 11AM, 2PM and 4PM. Guests are invited to bring a unique antique or collectible for appraisal from Dr. Lori (Limit one per guest, seating will be limited).
Additional seminars include going green, home energy savings tips, and paranormal activity in your home! The Home Show will also be offering a community shredding event on Saturday, October 2, from 10AM to 1PM. Each person can bring up to three file boxes of documents to be destroyed free of charge. Each customer will receive one complimentary ticket to the home show!

Join Elmo, Zoe, Abby Cadabby, Telly Monster and Zoe’s pet rock Rocco for Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Healthy Heroes” at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Tuesday, Oct. 5 and Wednesday, Oct. 6. Tickets for all three performances go on sale Monday, Aug. 30 at 10:00 a.m.
When Super Grover loses his superness, Sesame Street needs a hero! Never fear, Elmo and his team of Healthy Heroes are here. Teaching lessons of healthy habits through song and dance, Elmo, Abby Cadabby and your favorite Sesame Street friends will explore exercise, nutrition, sleep/energy and hygiene – all in a quest to put the “super” back in Super Grover. It’s Elmo’s Healthy Heroes to the rescue!

Through the dazzle of this full-blown Broadway-quality show, the production will teach children lessons in healthy habits that they can use long after the show ends. Quota International of Salisbury Offers Unique Holiday Crafts at 34th Annual Craft Show
The annual Quota International Christmas Craft Show will return to Salisbury’s Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31. Admission is just $5 per day at the door, and children under 12 are admitted free.
Peruse the Christmas-themed wares of more than 180 vendors during this two-day event. Saturday hours are from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The show will open at 10:00am on Sunday and close at 4:00pm.

The Eastern Shore’s Largest Bingo Event Returns to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center
Be the first to shout bingo at Bingomania, which returns to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Saturday, November 6. Doors open at 5:00pm for early bird games and regular games begin at 7:30pm.
Admission to Bingomania includes all regular and special games, including the Jumbo Jackpot Game. Regular games offer a $500 prize while special games pay out $1000. The Jumbo Jackpot Game pays a maximum of $10,000.
Increase your chances of winning and help a local food bank at the same time by bringing three non-perishable food items to the game. Those that do will receive 3 additional cards for the first early bird game, which has a payout of $500.

Rope Your Tickets Now for the Lone Star Rodeo
Cowboys and girls of all ages are invited to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on Friday, January 21 and Saturday, January 22 for the Lone Star Rodeo. The fun starts at 7:30pm each night and tickets are now available.
This genuine Rodeo event offers an exciting line-up of riding, timed and entertainment events the whole family can enjoy. Timed events include Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, and Brahma Bull Riding. Cowgirl’s Barrel Racing and Steer Wrestling along with Team, Tie Down and Breakaway Roping round out the evening with timed events. The funny antics of rodeo clowns will ensure the arena is full of laughter during the competition.
Although the Rodeo doesn’t start until 7:30pm, the fun begins shortly after the doors open (doors open at 6:00pm). Pre-show entertainment includes a ‘Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl Contest’ and Gold Rush. Kids 10 and under are invited to participate in both events.
Tickets for the Rodeo are on sale now Advanced general admission tickets are only $10, so don't wait until the week of the show to buy!
